Artist's Description
Burgh Island is a tidal island on the coast of South Devon in England near the small seaside village of Bigbury-on-Sea. There are several buildings on the island, the largest being the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel. The other buildings are three private houses, and a public house, the Pilchard Inn, run by the hotel.
About Forest Alan Lee
Alan Lee has been enjoying photography for over 40 years. Much of his current work consists of travel photography as well as close-up and graphic visions using plants, man made and natural objects to create contemporary visual pieces. During the 1980’s he opened a custom photo lab in Northern California. He had the opportunity to communicate with many excellent photographers and lab technicians and took much away from those experiences. He is fascinated by visually exciting images either of scenics, animals and common everyday objects that have a graphic element. His style varies from classical to high impact visuals. The challenge of seeing various objects through different perspectives and producing images that inspires or motivates...
